Pros: Excellent service. Great steakhouse ambiance. A very good variety of wines. Their steaks are cooked to perfection. Our server explained all the steaks and the difference of each. Great sides for everyone! Cons: heavy on the salt and spices, I recommend you drink plenty of water during and after. It's very expensive: with wine, count about $100 per person or more if you do want dessert and appetizers.

Wow! This is one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. I came in on a Friday night, sat at the bar and was absolutely amazed by the incredible service, menu, and food. I don't drink, so I really enjoyed the mock tail section on the menu. My favorite drink off the mock tails was the fools gold. For food, I had the rolls, the pork belly, bacon, the dry New York strip, the broccolini, and the lobster. The New York strip was dry aged, and one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. Cooked and perfectly I could not say enough good things about this restaurant. Tee and Kevin were the bartenders and they were so knowledgeable and helpful when making decisions. Thank you so much Rare team cannot wait to come back on my next visit to San Diego. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible steak dinner

Unfortunately I did not take any photos as we went for Father's Day and my focus was elsewhere. The venue has great decor throughout, the only blemish are the ceiling tiles that they decided to use the fast and cheaper option of industrial staples which aren't even colored to match the tiles. Aside from that sidenote, the service by the staff was excellent and quick. The server was knowledgeable of every items on the menu and cocktails and had a great demeanor. Food wise we ordered cooked oysters and the executive board, which is a charcuterie board of various cut of meat, which were both cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Well worth the price! Each of the cocktails were beautifully made to order and the special mentions were there smoked old fashion which they did table side. The wine section was fair but well priced. Overall, this is a great place for my fellow carnivores that I would like an excellent section of different meats, but not looking for the typical steakhouse vibe. This restaurant does not sacrifice quality to deliver this different spin on a typical steakhouse. Highly recommend this location. Talking to some of the other patrons this location seems to be slightly better reviewed than their other locations in San Diego.

I work in the industry and today's Industry night I came alone solo dolo, recommended by Sou Chef Charlotte! I came in and sat at the bar. Very nice menu. The place is nice and elegant with a casual vibe. I came to eat and everything I had was amazing. Shrimp Cocktail, Meatballs, Ravioli, Lamb chop Lollipop, and A couple of good Old Fashion's on the side. The busser/ guy who was filling up waters was very pleasant. Great sense of communication and customer service, making sure my plates were cleared after eating the servings I had. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!!!!! That's on a Monday of course, cause I ain't got no days offffff l! LOL

Went with a friend to dinner Saturday evening. We picked this place as neither of us had been there but always drove past it and were curious. The reservation system was very easy to use and good about sending out reminders and had an add to calendar option, always helpful. Greeting staff were welcoming and friendly. I had the salmon while my friend had the porkchops, and we shared the fettuccini, the Caesar salad, and the asparagus. All of the food that we had was great (the lamb was especially tender and juicy and the asparagus was perfectly tender and flavorful), but what made it even better was the excellent service from start to finish. The supporting servers and especially our main server were all very friendly and attentive to us the entire evening so we never sat around waiting for someone to provide assistance. The ambiance inside was very enjoyable. I will definitely keep this spot in mind in the future and hopefully return soon.

One of the best steak houses I've been two everything here is so good servers are excellent great cocktails but those steak boards are where it's at.

A short drive off the 163 at Washington East exit. Street parking is a bit rough. The restaurant is cozy and romantic. The service was perfect and water refills frequent. Every minor detail was done in such a way that they even laid the serving tools in a convenient manner. The drinks were great. Espresso martinis are sometimes overwhelming for me but theirs was perfect for me. Bacon is a log of pork belly that's glazed in sweet goodness with a tiny kick. Onion rings and the Parker House Rolls were delicious. The Associate is a tasty platter of meats. Filet mignon, wagyu tri tip, and wagyu denver had a smokey char exterior and cooked to a medium rare. The bone marrow was a short lived heavenly topping. I wasn't a fan of the salsa, but the bearnaise, steak sauce, and the butter were fantastic. Overall, a wonderful dinner!

We had an amazing experience at Rare Society! Our waiter, Kevin, was super knowledgeable and was happy to provide suggestions, but wasn't annoyed when we didn't take some of them--which I feel like sometimes happens at other places. We went here for a belated birthday celebration for my husband since his birthday is a few days before Christmas. He loves steak, and we have loved the other restaurants that we've tried in this same family. Rare Society lived up to the Trust Restaurant Group's reputation. We split the rolls, broccolini, potatoes au gratin, the filet, and the Denver cut. Every item was amazing!! We also split the butter cake for dessert. It was such a fun an unique dessert! This restaurant is beautiful! If you are looking for a true dining experience for a fun celebration or just because, definitely try Rare Society!
